SafeSourceHemp (SSH) was a 2019 start-up in the Industrial Hemp industry. It failed to secure the necessary funding for growth although numerous tools were developed to secure investors.
When requesting investor funding, I think it's important that whatever you are developing has a name and identity. It makes the investment more relatable and shows skin in the game.
Hundreds of hours were invested in the business plans, financials, renderings, video, and other content created to bring SafeSourceHemp to life.
This full plan includes all components of a business plan from the Executive Summary to the Financials.
An investor's time is valuable - so this one-pager was created as a hard-hitting overview for the investment request.
Realistic renderings were created using SketchUp to illustrate how the funding would be spent on updating the building.
Branding and other forms of signage would have been used throughout the building to perpetuate the branding.
Many modifications to this building would have been required, making the 3D renderings a necessity.
“I have no regrets taking on this endeavor. My team and I put our best foot forward and came up short during a time when the hemp industry was still in flux. I invested a great deal of time and resources to create the elements shown on this page."
The name SafeSourceHemp came out of a desire to communicate that our hemp was the finest grown - all organic and never manipulated. The traditional medical cross indicated it was worthy of medical grade and the hemp leaf brings it back to the product hero - industrial hemp.
This video was shown to potential investors to show them how the planting process was handled for 25 acres worth of hemp seeds. Footage was shot throughout the growing process for future video content.
This abbreviated version of the business plan attempted to create a shorter plan at 20 pages from the original 76 pages.
Photos were used to show our progress to the different investors we were meeting with and explain the process.
The 18-Month Overview provided the major milestones and timeline for acquisition, development, and execution.
